All youth of Kittson County in grades 7 to 12 are invited to a special event on Saturday, January 21, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Lake Bronson State Park Visitor Center. There will be snow shoing led by park personnel, games, supper, a Bible study, and worship led by a Concordia College Outreach team that will be visiting our county. The cost to get into the park is $3 per vehicle if the car has no annual park sticker (this is a special rate for group events) or free if the car has a current annual state park sticker. There will also be a free will offering for the Concordia Outreach ministry.
Organizing this event are Sion Lutheran Church of Lancaster, Zion Lutheran Church of Lake Bronson, Eidsvold Lutheran Church of Halma, First Lutheran Church of Karlstad, Maria Lutheran Church of Kennedy, Red River Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church, both of Hallock, but it is intended for all youth of the county. Please plan to attend the entire event. And dress warmly for outdoor activities. The visitor's center is warm and cozy on a cold winter evening.
There will be an attempt to organize rides from First Lutheran Church of Karlstad with a stop at Eidsvold, so that we can get as many youth as possible with as few cars as possible to the event.

Lenten Suppers etc.
The youth group had another very successful series of Wednesday night Lenten suppers this year. Thank you to all the youth and to the parents who came to help serve. Those who come for Lenten services greatly appreciate the opportunity to share a supper together with the youth. During the season of Lent the youth group also went bowling in Thief River Falls and before Lent began there was a very nice ice skating party at the Karlstad rink. The 9th graders also thank Jan Berg for taking them on her annual confirmation shopping trip in April. We are still waiting for the picture of the 9th graders with their bunny ears at the movie "Hop" in EGF.
