Reggie Dabs
“YOU CAN NEVER CHANGE YOUR PAST, BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FUTURE.”
This is Reggie Dabbs motto. Reggie, a spiritual and motivational speaker for 25 years, recently spoke at various schools in NW Minn. He offered an evening performance at Grace Lutheran in Hallock to discuss his faith. Kelly Koland, Beth Murray, F.L.Y. members, and their friends, attended his faith talk.
Knowing today’s generation is facing unparalleled hurts, pressures, and choices, Reggie has committed his life to make a positive difference in the lives of youth. He spoke about family and how thankful youth should be that they have families. Reggie was the 3rd child born to an unwed mother. She gave him away and kept the others. He was taken in and adopted by his mother’s former high school teacher. He now realizes, through his faith in Jesus Christ, how blessed he has been. His motto is “You can never change your past, but you can change your future.” His also fond of teaching kids to say “I got yo back.” This means we all need to be there for each other.
