Projector

The Youth Group has purchased a computer/DVD projector for use by the youth, Sunday School, confirmation class (says the pastor), and other groups at the church. The Youth Group requested and received funding from the congregation and the women for a three way split. Dalene Jacobson arranged the purchase through the Wikstrom Telephone Company. The youth thank both of them. The projector is much like the ones in classrooms at the school. Computer users will have to provide their own laptop. First Lutheran Church owns a DVD player, and the Social Hall has a large screen on the west wall. Eidsvold has a very nice portable screen for use in other rooms in either church.

Middle School Youth Gathering

Nine middle school (grades 6-7-8) youth and three adults attended the Northwestern Minnesota Synod Middle School Youth Gathering in Grand Forks Nov. 19-20. Peder Eide, who was the featured singer at the gathering, was in concert on Sunday, Nov. 21, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, so a larger group of youth (grades 6-11) and five adults attended his high energy inspiring concert. Eide has become quite popular throughout the ELCA at youth gatherings for the message he brings “God Is Good…..All the Time!”
